I'm sure this has already been cleared up, but with the Warriors almost certainly not making the 8 in NRL, could Sam make an early return for the back end of our season?

No. He could come over here for the play offs and be around the camp. However, he cannot play.

The signings deadline as gone. That loophole was closed a while back around the time guys like Johns came over and Morley came back to Bradford for a couple of months.

It wouldn't be fair to the squad anyway IMO. They've had there ups and down but the players likely to be effected by such a move (Bowen, Williams, Smith, Powell etc) have always give it their all.

Nah it's changed again now with the Super 8s, hence Sandow coming across.

Ah Butt it hasn't , Sandow signed for the Wire on the 23rd of July and the deadline day was the 24th, crafty Wire.

Cancel any announcement that the Wigan faithful who thrive on announcements may of been expecting.

We don't need him anyway as because Hardakre has hit form Tomkins is now garbage according to most rugby league fans.

I'm a big fan of Hardaker and defensively he's superb but people are kidding if they think he's in Tomkins league as an all round rugby leagye player.

In Hardakers best ever season he's scored about 12 try's hasn't he? And I'd guess his assists are similar (maybe lower as he's not a creative type). If we compare that to some of the figures Sam used to come up with it's not even on the same planet! He regularly got over 25 try's and 20 assists in a season.

I'd say that ability under the high ball and in defence are part of an "all round rugby player", particularly one who plays full back, and Hardaker is streets ahead.

Sam is brilliant with the ball but direct comparison of stats is a bit meaningless as everything Wigan did revolved around him whilst Leeds have more ball players and strike across the backs so don't rely so heavily on one player.

I would pick Hardaker over Sam at full back for England I think. It will be interesting to see what happens, I fancy we might see Sam in the halves.

Tomkins' link up play is superb from full back however, every other area of his full back play seems to be behind Hardaker. His kick returns are absolutely shocking for a full back. He's lost half a yard of pace now as well IMO. Everything about his current skillset indicate to me it's time for him to move back into the halves.
