I have been trying for about a week, it says "maintenance mode" but it still gives you the option to log in, but that does not seam to work.
But it is such a big site and if Bilko is doing a major overall it may take a while.

Laptop went kaput last week so I took it down because I can't update it. Can't say when I can bring it back at the moment but not likely soon.

Made me realise how much I use that site, particularly the RLonTV bit. Hope it's back up and running soon!

Thanks for telling us Bilko, it is about time that the powers that be at Wigan realised that your site contains a very detailed history of Wigan RLFC which cant be found anywhere else on the net, especially the official club site. It is about time the club stopped having a free ride at your expense in all matters concerning the detailed history of the club.

I put tight arisises at first but I thought I had better leave that out otherwise they might take exception to it.

The site's brilliant for anyone who's interested in RL history. Its really poor how little of quality in any detail is available on official sites. On the Leeds site there's about ten pages of text and pictures covering 100 years of history, and a dead link to a very odd list of 'past players' which seems to assume Leeds didn't exist pre 1980.

It's not just the club though who have a " free ride" on the history of the club though is it? Every fan who uses the site also gets it for free. How many fans have noticed the " Donate to help keep the site going" box which I think is in the top right corner of the site? More importantly, how many fans have actually made a donation to help support Bilko in keeping the site open and up to date? I would suggest the answer to that is very few.

I happily donated to Bilko some years ago when he had a laptop issue, and would happily do so again...

I have also donated a couple of times in the past when I have met him, I would do it on his site but I don't understand this pay pal thing.

If Bilko contacted me with a PM with an address I will gladly send him a cheque or whatever method he suggested that I can understand.

What about some kind of membership fee for the site? As I type this, there are about 10 registered users, plus nearly 200 guests 'browsing this forum'. Does that mean just the Wigan forum? Supposing 200 members each paid a £10 a year fee for access? That would buy a new laptop or contribute to any other costs he has.
Just an idea...I'm not well up on this sort of thing!
