Not seen it mentioned anywhere but the qualification routes for next season's WCS has been announced: http://www.wiganwarriors.com/news/2015- ... qualifiers Added incentive for winning the LLS and also adds a bit more merit to winning the CC. Apparently the Aussie participants will be the GFs and a team the remaining SL club picks, probably from the 2 losing semi-finalists - much better than just playing whichever teams fancies it and adds a lot more credibility to the series - hope we're involved!

it needs to be more than just 3 matches, whoever is involved. Some proper tournament is needed or it'll be taken as seriously as the original 1 on 1. Cram in 9 matches & a final over a couple of weeks - that'd sort out the wheat from the chaff.

It's a pity this can't be done at the end of the season when the same players who have won the Grand Finals are still together

I can see where they are coming from bit I personally thought the only downfall of last seasons series was that Leeds weren't part of it. For me I want to see the big three (Wigan, Saints and Leeds) go against the aussies. Imo that's what the outside public want to see and what will make this type of thing a success. Wigan vs Brisbane last season is the perfect example. Neither had won anything the previous year but it pulled in a big crowd a lot of press. Would Hudds or Cas vs Brisbane done the same? As a sport we only have a limited number of well known brands, it's key they are all part of big events like this.

I would really love to see a proper 4v4 tournament, but I think the only way it could be fit into the season would be to have it at the expense of an end of season international tournament. Every 4/5 years would be good with the slimmed down annual version as it is now. I do think it would be better if it was held two weeks after the GFs though, so it was that season's current team competing rather than the following season's when players/coaches have moved on.
