I wouldn't move Williams from six just after his best couple of displays of the season.
I said after last weeks game against the "Wolfs" that Rocky should be at standoff for the Waky match, one reason was because we could see Rocky at standoff against what should be weaker opposition and the other is we have to give Bowen a game because if we don't he will not have played for about four weeks.
Now Nicky says we should not move Williams from six after his recent displays, Nicky said this in all sincerity but that was based on the modern game.
I personally don't think that Wigan have a No 6 and No 7, what I think is we have an acting halfback (MM) with a right sided halfback in Smith and a left sided halfback in Williams. (and never the twain shall meet, if you know what I mean).
In the game Wigan play, how many times have you seen Smith put Williams through a gap and visa versa, so it should not make any difference in the game putting Rocky at 6 and Williams at 7.
I would like an observation about this from someone who watched them all through their junior rugby, did they play together as left and right halfbacks or did they play as halfbacks used to play, as partners who could appear anywhere on the pitch.
If they played the modern game who of the two played left and who played right? .
I have now noticed that the name props is now out of fashion in R/L, we now have middles.????.
