There is an article on the Sydney Morning Herald website about Ricky Stuart’s plans to replace Hodgson from within his squad. He intends to promote Craig Garvey and use his halves creatively. Nowhere does it talk about bringing people from outside.

I read a report saying he asked for Hodgson’s salary to be discounted from the cap but the NRL knocked him back leaving him no room to bring in McIllorum.

Yes, apparently if a player is injured on rep duty you can use their cap space for the duration of the injury. But for some reason, it was turned down. Even it was granted I guess they would have cap issues as soon as Hodgson was fit again.
Don’t know how accurate this info is,but was told tonight that gelling has left and we are getting a new centre Apparently he played for Tonga in the World Cup As I said I am not sure if this is true but was informed by a close relative that he has been told that info this morning If anyone has heard similar please let us know

If true then hope it's big Koni Hurrell though Michael Jennings would be just as good
All the good music has already been written by people with wigs and stuff.
Quite a few of the lads (who play for WW) on Doms stag-do seem to believe AG wasn't coming back...Junior Sau from Salford is the main target, as I said weeeeeeks ago!

The originator of this rumour said Gelling’s replacement played for Tonga in the World Cup. Junior Sau is Samoan and didn’t play in the World Cup.
Looking at the centres for Tonga in the World Cup they are all quality players. But not sure if any are free to move at the moment. I’d be happy with Sau, or any of Tonga’s centres as a replacement.
