bit more legs to the Sneyd to Wigan rumour for 2020 - in an interview he has said he is in discussions with Hull about a new contract, and if it was based purely as a playing decision he would stay, however, at home there is some unhappiness. His wife wants to be closer to family with them having a young child now, so looks likely he will head back West after this year

Really can’t see it given we have Sammut for 2 years. My guess would be Salford to replace Hastings who will be heading back to the NRL.

It's been reported than Lam is looking to make one more signing before the start of the season, hopefully a forward.

Who else in the championship is looking for a club? Any championship forwards free?

He’s talking about a ‘middle’ so it looks like we’ll target a prop. It’s toigh to even throw any names about this late in the day. The lad at Huddersfield (Ikahihfio) keeps getting linked with a move away and he looked very good pre injury problems. We’ve not been linked with him but he’s a player I’d be happy with.

As expected the criticism and snide comments have started all ready and we haven't even signed anyone yet. I think we should sign Sam Burgess and Waera-Hargreaves. and if we don't its because Lenaghan is tight with his money and the club has no ambition. we should be signing marquee players. I can just imagine the poop what is going to be put on here about nothing again.

So there's no middle ground? Either a championship player or Sam Burgess?

No, ground between championship and world class. It was a tongue in cheek comment referring to how several of our recent signings have been from the championship, didn't mean to get your knickers in a twist. It's xmas, have a drink, a nice time with your family.

I don't recall Saints fans "moaning" about signing Alex Walmsley, Jack Ashworth, James Bentley or Joe Batchelor, all part of their 2019 squad!!

Probably cos it was mixed in with a promising mix of NRL stars.
