Aaron Bower reporting Catalans have made a big money offer for George Williams and are looking to him to reinvigorate their HB’s next season.

I’ve been critical of him but losing him would constitute a huge huge blow. I’d personally be very annoyed and disgruntled if it went ahead.

If it's big money for the club to reinvest then I would send him on his way. It's a big chance to re-shape the senior squad going forward and gut it of the poor standards that have been in place for too long.

You don’t reshape a squad and try to raise poor standards by letting your most dangerous attacking player go.

If there’s any truth in this then I really fear for the direction of the club.

It’s a big worry this one. Regardless of big money offers, Williams is the player we should be building around for next season. A new coach could really get the shackles off him and let him run riot like he’s capable of.

Phil Wilkinson saying he was asked about this 2 weeks ago and it’s BS. He says a rumour started after he went to France to see his mate Lewis Tierney. Hope he’s right.

Phil Wilkinson is usually on the money so that eases the tension a little.

When a player can produce as many try’s and assists as Williams does whilst not being on top of his game shows the quality of the guy. Yes he needs to improve and find consistency but if he does then watch out.

Catalan must have a very elastic salary cap.

But even if they've offered, Wigan don't need to accept.

That would be a fantastically well balanced pairing who strengths would compliment each other.

If we got Sneyd I think I’d shed tears. Decent with ball in hand and great kicking game but he’d have to spend his entire preseason working on his defence, he couldn’t tackle a good dinner!
