When I first saw the squad list, it was just the surnames and I assumed 'Smith' was going to be Lee, from Leeds, going on the usual selection policy. Good to see Sam and Lockers both rested - I wouldn't be upset if McNamara tried someone else on the wing and gave Charnley the night off too.

That shirts and ticket deal has been available for a while and seemed decent - the move of flogging the tickets off for as little as they dare this week just smacks of desperation, though. Not having Sky at home, I caught the first game in the pub - it's fair to say I'll probably not be there again for this second one.

We look light on props.

I'd have called up Chris Hill and Larne Patrick but obviously Macca is planning towards a world cup and a future without Peacock so why use this game to look at options!!!

There was a ticket and England shirt deal circulated. They have been doing that for the last few years to be honest via amateur clubs. It's the first time I've seen 2 shirts thrown in though.

The guy doesn't have a clue. He claims we should be building for the WC. I have seen few signs of this.

If we really wanted to prepare I would have taken an inexperienced squad down under after this season and let them get bashed. Some players will go into the 2013WC never having played Aus and NZ before. Good luck with that.
