Or just go into next year with with what we already have.
Lima Coley? Prescott O'Carrol Davies Mossop may be ready for the frontrow next year. Hock?
Difficult one. If Fielden goes, I'd take it for granted Coley has agreed to another year (releasing both would be a disaster). Even then though, we only have 2 experiences props anywhere near the prime of their careers (Coley and Lima). As yet, Prescott, O'Carroll and Davies are still only relatively young/unexperienced, are still learning their trade (and I'd suggest Fielden would be a decent role model, certainly in terms of professionalism and work ethic, for them to have in the squad) and all have yet to really prove themselves at the top. With regards to Mossop and Hock, both are at the moment second rowers. I don't doubt they can make the step up to the front row, but it's no guarantee (even more so with Hock given his absence from the game).
Personally I think we could have done with keeping Fielden for another year or two. If one of Coley or Lima were to get injured early next season (before Hock is back with us) then we'd be in a worse situation than for the majority of this year (where for the most part we've been reliant on Coley and Fielden).

Yep fair assessment for me that. I'm with you, if Fielden goes we need to replace him.
Who is "The Coon"?
Ennis to replace Piggy for 2011.
What I've felt. What I've known. Never shined through in what I've shown
Prediction: Wire to beat Saints in the final game ever at KR.

Given the rumoured wage on Fielden's current contract I'm sure we'd be able to get an adequate replacement for him. It would be a shame though as he's put in some good performances this season. Are there any decent props in SL that are going off contract?

I'd take Langley off the Bulls. He's yet to agree a new contract with them for next year so maybe worth a chance inquiring about him if Fielden's leaving. To be honest props in general seem in short supply, and even more so when their British.

If all the rumors about how much some players are on then over half the team are playing for free
The latest i have heard is Fielden has signed a 12 month extension with Us Wigan.

That is what I've also heard.
[size=85][quote="Harrigan"]...Actually worried me tonight. They are a poor mans Saints.
IMO when push comes to shove they will lose 2 playoff games in a row. I have never been as confident at winning the title as I am after tonights game. I know we lost and Wigan played well but TBF they were nothing near a championship winning team tonight to say they were "up" for this game. In the 1st match of the play offs at the DW I can see us winning quite convincingly.
Reading the League Express today, apparently Ryan Hoffman had a cracker for Melbourne in their victory over Penrith - voted MOTM. By the sounds of it Brett Finch had a good game too.

Frightening, isn't it? The Official "I've been shown up by Michael MaGuire/Shaun Wane" list:
Richard Agar Terry Matterson Mick Potter John Kear Nathan Brown x2 Steve Ganson

I noticed he didn't feature. They seem to regularly chop and change the team around at Melbourne.
