When we came off against hull kr i dont remember any mud on the pitch at all, the players didnt look dirty, then latics turn up and it looks like a paddy field

There are some photos on sporthull.co.uk of the players and pitch during and at the end of the match.
No sign of a muddy pitch and all the players shirts are reasonably clean. It is amazing how the pitch deterioated after latics had played on it.

With cheaper tickets, a better atmosphere because of the away fans, and also the fact that they are over achieving as a club, while we have been under achieving for quite some time. |

I have a feeling 14k home fans will be a big ask. I'm ready to be proved wrong though.
There was an editorial in this mornings Metro talking about the pitch and I was waiting for the inevitable rugby this and that but joyfully it never came. Perhaps the message is getting through  |

I wouldn't hold out much hope for 14k to be honest.
Considering the crowd against HKR, we'd need an extra 1500 fans to hit 14k, and then there's the away support to factor in.
Realisitically, we'd do very, very well to persuade 2500 people to turn up for Catalans when they didn't bother against Hull KR. |

The hope in terms of getting an extra 2,500 speccies on tonight then we got for the HKR game is that this one isn't on the TV and it's on the back of that win at Wire.
I still doubt us getting them though and would be happy with a crowd of above 12k.
