Gelling clearly isn't fit anyway. Even if he doesn't get banned, which he will, I doubt we'd have seen him next weekend.

Gelling did lift the leg but I think it was the effect Powell had when he came in to tackle that made it look a lot worse making it a lot more dangerous.

That is why the ruling of when a leg is lifted in the tackle the referee shouts held to stop additional players entering the tackle.

If SW didn't think he'd be right for Cas, I can't imagine he'd have used the EGP.

If you are charged with an offence, you have to use the EGP if its available, you can't save it for a future indiscretion. :?

You can contest the charge at the disciplinary hearing and if found not guilty will still have an EPG available.
