What a shame it is that Sky hold the rights to all non Toronto RL Championship games, yet have no interest in broadcasting any of the games until the Middle 8s.
The Championship Shield games do not even figure at all, Not even the final.
What an opportunity for decent TV coverage of Championship games if Premier could get the rights. The Toronto games they cover quite well. With the games being shown later in the week free to air of Freesports. It would be a welcome shot in the arm for our and all the other clubs in the Championship.
The irony is that National Conference League games will be shown on Freesports, meaning they will be getting better TV coverage than us. Something wrong there I think!

Sky only show Blackpool though, Premier used to show a game every week on Thursday nights

Not fully sure how the deal with premier and Toronto works. If I read it correctly premier in effect get it for free, I know for certain in Canada TWP produce the coverage and give it away, so no one is paying for the privilege of showing the games.
But it would be good if sky started showing maybe one championship game a week, can’t see it happening soon though.

Saying that, I would not want to try to get to Ealing on a Thursday night. I work in Stuttgart Mon-Thur, so that would prevent me from getting to the match.

So if they do decide to start to screen champ matches (it wont happen), then I would prefer it to be sun evening at 5pm or something
