I did not realise he left the club at the end of the season. Article on the offy now saying that he has rejoined due to our shortage at HB/HK. No offence to him, and good luck but i hope this is not an indication of our (lack) of signings for the coming season.

8 players released and replaced by 1 and a handful of kids.

No doubt it'll be defended to the hilt by some fans, but I really can't see the point of being propped up for another year with a target of top 4 at best......

Don't think it's defending it to the hilt.
It's called being a fan and supporting the team.
Interesting in what you think the point is though! Or are you suggesting we all pack up and do something else on a Sunday afternoon?

Davies wasn't good enough, but now he somehow is......that's pi55 poor recruitment and won't add to the masses flocking to the games in 2018.....therefore we will still be reliant on Hughes and nothing will change.....

...what was it Einstein used to say about doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome?

I'm with CMG (not on the whole history of DH as I cant be arsed on that), this recruitment is so underwhelming. I assume if there was something better to come it might have been mentioned, but my fear is we don't replace Judas and Barthau with anything like the quality, and whilst Roqica and Offerdahl were cart horses, they still need replacing with, ideally, stallions !

DH has got just what he wants in his head coach position. A guy who just didn't expect the offer but took it as most would(Like Powell) as its unlikely a asst coach who is seen a bit of a joker would get a shot elsewhere. He isn't going to rock the boat and ask for money. Im sure DH said make the most of what you have as we are FT we will get in the mid 8 on fitness alone with the core players we have. (maybe this is why Hendo said he had taken it as far as he could).

NB im bemused by your comments about being a fan. Ive had ST's for 20 plus years and will keep watching but that doesn't mean I should be positive about the situation. We are in a mess and spiralling downwards at an alarming rate.

Merely commenting on this. Just asked the question which quite interestingly was not answered.
So if there is no point why do we bother going to the wedding venue as dog phrases it?
For me! It's because I am a rugby league fan, and Broncos are my chosen team, like you WQ am not happy with the situation but does not mean am going to take the attitude of what's the point and give up on em. Can't see the point in moaning whinging about everything when in fact you can't change it!
