Branson is very much about brand when he sponsored us yes we got to a Wembley final, we also set a record for the biggest defeat at Wembley, we came second but a spectacular second that's not a very good brand advert hence him cutting his foray into sport pretty short.

Does the final score at Wembly matter or the second position in Super League (yes it does I am sure every London supporter would love to be in that position now) without the Branson money we would not achieved those positions as has been proved since he departed. If you look at the sponsors the Super League has had over the last 20 years none has been as big as Virgin and most of them have only sponsored rugby league for 2 years. Most of the clubs in Super League are sponsored by local companies because the big global companies are not interested because their brand is not seen as often as they would like due to the small audience the sport has, on this basis London done pretty good to attract Virgin in the first place.

I agree Virgin were great for Broncos and their marketing was far superior to anything we have seen since.

Not denying getting virgin to sponsor the club was a great move, all I was doing was pointing out the reason he quite probably did not continue was brand image.
Would I like to see him put his name to our club again if course, but cannot see it happening
