Absolutely, i wasnt saying it in a derogtory way, but even in your glory days you did not get huge crowds? You are signing all these players because you have an owner who can afford it, good luck to you. But is SL going to be richer and better supported by Leigh being in it, probably not. that was my only point

It is not right to change the rules so late in the day, just because Leigh have found £300 000 down the back of he sofa.
Okay change the salary cap, but do it for 207 season.
I wonder if the other Championship clubs could challenge this in law. It would throw a spanner in the works.
It does look like Leigh are turning into a Salford MKII, in more than one way.

RFL seem to have collapsed to Leigh, is this due to their ever moaning chairman claiming they were wrongly treated? it should stand for all clubs if any change to cap is made not just one.

I dont think for a minute anyone at the London Broncos is pretending a trestle table is a turnstile. In disguise ? I assume they think that the use of a trestle table as an assist to manage ticket distribution and money taking is perfectly acceptable. Not high tech by any means but functional.

Not sure what all the fuss is about.
The Salary Cap rule change was discussed at a meeting with ALL Championship Clubs in October after Leigh raised the issue many weeks prior to this meeting.
Could well be that London Broncos actually voted in favour of the proposed revision.
The change makes eminent sense if any Championship team is to have a realistic chance of bridging what is still a huge funding gap and mounting a realistic challenge to get promoted to Super League.
The only criteria that should worry the RFL is whether any club is overstretching itself. They appear to have covered this aspect by insisting upon the club registering a Bond.
Surely the whole purpose of re-introducing promotion and relegation with increased Sky funding was to allow us all live the dream of promotion. I believe the increased attendances proved the point but last season also demonstrated that the financial gap was still too great.

Oh there's a surprise a Leigh fan in support of it. Sort of misses the point completely as most squads already put together by the time it was actually discussed. Wonder if your view would be the same if only Bradford could have taken advantage of it? If this had been introduced at the end of August then level playing field for all championship clubs to consider if they could meet it and consider their squads. Reality is nobody else probably could certainly not us. It really doesn't matter if the only one financially able to meet the criteria is Leigh or not, it's the timing of decision that is poor. Sure we did vote for it.

Good luck to Leigh with it. It's the RFL that's the ass.

Well they have put the 50% of gate receipts as the cap on the excess of I read it correct, so hey good on em if they win games and get bums on seats that's what a pro club is about in the end. If it means they compete during super 8s all the better, even more so if they can upsett the Apple cart and get into super league. You certainly cannot knock them for putting the building blocks there and if anyone deserves it then it is Leigh
