Have to say the breakdown of the home and away fixtures in the middle 8 means is different to what I expected. I though te reward for finishing in the top 4 of the Championship was 4 home ties, but apparently not.

Life is pretty simple: You do stuff. Most fails. Some works. You do more of what works.

The real benefit is finishing in the top two of the Championship as you get 4 home games.

If you finish first in the Championship you only have one SL team at home and all three championship sides.
If you finish second in the Championship you get three SL teams at home and one championship side.
If you finish third in the Championship you get two championship teams and 1 SL team at home.
If you finish fourth in the Championship you get 3 SL teams at home.

I get the impression fourth is enjoy the experience and extra crowd.

Target has to be top two for any club with ambition of even having a chance of succeeding in the 8s

to make the Million Quid game you need only defeat the other 3 championship clubs. To qualify for SL directly, you realistically need to win 5 of your 7 games.

You are wrong mate. Leigh have Salford and Huddersfield at home and Featherstone away.
