I see the youngsters won, first team looks pretty strong, Purcell at stand-off which is interesting.

Pitts sent off for "misconduct".
Hope it's not a sign of things to come.

F/T:46-12, Hat-tricks for Hellewell & Dixon, the latter seemingly looking fantastic.

Seems a good hit out considering 9 players missed out through injury or lack of fitness.

I assume he will be banned for sending offs in friendly? What did he do?

Disciplinary will look at it in the same way as any other sending off, luckily we have 2 more friendlies before the season gets going
loane and sammut were both at Trailfinders today think I saw cunningham as well.
Players might have missed out because he chose not to play them

Stupid sending off. Pitts was struggling to get out of a tackle to play-the-ball quickly when the touch judge said he (Pitts) had kneed the defender in the face with malice in the attempt to release himself. You couldn't make it up....

I initially thought it was a Yowie player being yellow carded for repeatedly holding down as they (the Yowies) had been put on a team warning at some point for various misdemeanours. Pitt was most bemused at the red card and almost didn't leave the pitch! Time will tell if there will be some sort of penalty for the fella.

As for the Jay Pitts sending off the disciplinary has decided that there is no charge.

'Sending off sufficient. Player makes contact with knee towards the head of opponent as player is regaining feet after being tackled. Contact is minimal. Sending off sufficient.'
