hi

wondered if you guys could offer me any help or suggestions, we travel down via train every year to wembley, however this year due to family commitments we will be travelling down from yorkshire by car and heading down to salisbury on the sunday. We were thinking we would drive down as far as poss then park up at a secure train station car park, jump on a train/tube into central london then pick up the car again on the sunday. So my question is can you recommend a station with a good safe carpark - we would be arriving on the friday afternoon and picking the car back up on the Sunday.

Not sure I could offer anything useful, but it would help to know where you'll be staying on the Fri and Sat nights?

As BO says, it depends on how far down [or across to the west for Sunday] you are coming, for instance the travel lodges around Heathrow often have good weekend rates with secure parking from £7.50 [T5] to £10.00 [HT central] with great travel links into London.

Mate, a buddy of mine does this every year, it may seem a bit far out but High Wycombe train station is pretty secure, you can get a ticket for 4 people £20 from there and the train stops at wembley, easy to get from there down to the m4 as well for yr trip to salisbury

Can't beat parking at South Ruislip, plenty of street parking nearby, large Sainsbury's car park, pub (and budget hotel) next to the BR & underground station. Short trip to Wembley station right next to the ground - no queuing at Wembley Park. Bit of a pain to get the train back as they are queues but nowhere near as bad as the underground/into town. Its easy from South Ruislip to get the the A40, M25, M3. Cheap fares as its only 3 stops.

If you plan on doing this,check first that those trains will be running. I think that they were not on CCF final day last year. Though if your buddy did it, I must be wrong?

the best one is uxbridge travel lodge parking nearby and good nightlife and only about 10 stops to wembly

Hi again,

we will be meeting up with the rest of our part at Kings cross stations and staying not far from there so ideally we need to park up and catch the train not too far from there
