Club did the right thing- can’t be held to ransom- Woolford has said he only wants to sign players who want to play for us- hastings is here for a few months then he will go back to NRL. If we’d have given in to his demands and messing about then fans would be moaning about Thewlis paying over the odds etc etc. Even if Hastings helps Salford avoid the drop it doesn’t leave them anywhere better next season. Keep working on Olly Russell and sign someone who wants to stay here for more than three months. Someone who we can build round. Salford will have to hope hastings’ visa comes through quicker than Woolfords did or there’ll be little point him coming!

We aught to be trying to temp Drinkwater from the Dragons, not saying he would come as he's very popular there apparently, But when Sam get's there who knows, worth a try IMO

Watched him in the Salford v Widnes game, looks a perfect replacement for Brough. Runs a game well, short and long kicking game, and takes the line on like Danny used to, maybe a chance for next year?
