He is saints marquee player and although Hastings is currently playing reserve grade he won’t be on reserve grade money, he signed for Manley as dce’s Halfback partner not a back up player

Are you seriously saying that an out of favour 22 year old, who has had his reputation smeared by the game in Aus would command a fee over here of over 170k????

We have no marquee player so cap limits won't be an issue.

hastings might take a pay cut just to come and play sl... sounds like he wants out of manly and better than playing reserve grade over in oz

Where you getting 170k from? What I’m saying is Hastings is good enough to play Nrl, unlike lot of Aussie halves over here like Miller, drinkwater etc

170k is the marquee amount for overseas players that counts on the cap. we know barba is getting over 170k as he’s classed as marquee.

Never said he would be a marquee player I was questioning how a few weeks ago Wakeman had to go on Loan to avoid gong over the salery cap and now there is room for Hastings, doesn’t symonds wage still count for this year?
