On a really positive note we won’t have old upandunder, trinity 18 etc on here again for a while.

Glad some on here are not in charge of team selection. The game is about defence every bit as much if not more than attack. Hinchcliffe and Lawrence are probably our two most important players in this area. Also it is not about having a first seventeen as injuries mean you hardly ever get chance to pick it. It is about having a squad of 25 players all of who can step up to do the job required. I feel we are probably carrying 2-3 players in the squad at the moment and we need to look at bringing in a little more quality over the next few months. The youngsters on the whole have done well and should only get better. Some of the recent signings have done less well.

Nice to see someone else who thinks Hinchliffe is important

I’ve felt sorry for him over the past few years. He came from an ultra-professional place to a rabble.

I’m amazed he didn't pack in after his first season.

I was pleased. Two points isn’t to be sniffed at for a start.

Also, they looked very good for the first half hour or so, and then showed a lot of resilience. Two months back they’d have got well beaten in that match.

And above all, they played like they enjoyed it - which is the whole bloody point.

One thing stood out above all others for for me in that match, We were a lot poorer team when Murphy went off, No doubt there were other reasons as well but the drop was noticeable, I'm glad we don't play for 90 minutes I wouldn't have fancied our chances with another ten to play, but credit to them for sticking in, If we had lost that i don't think Leeming would have been very popular, hope Woolford can get some sense into him, he is penalty prone and some of them are pure senseless, Was the other kid injured ? Onward and upwards

I think Hinchcliffe is a model professional, and when the times were tough he was still putting in 100% every week. The point i'm making is that his style just isn't meshing with the rest of the team, as someone pointed out, noone IS running back at angles when he starts his little crabbing runs across the pitch. It appears to me in attack he is constantly doing something no-one else buys into. I can understand why he runs laterally, he really isn't big enough to run straight in the middle of the park. Yes his defence is good, but you have to consider that he will most certainly be one of the highest paid players in our side, and from that standpoint defence alone is not enough.

You might want to listen to his interview “backstage” at magic. This guy is exactly the type we should surround our kids coming through with. Speaking of which- you will often see hinchy at the academy games- he takes a lot of interest in our youngsters- more so than most.
If the team aren’t buying into what he’s doing then they are acting dumb.
