It was busy but........due to a miscommunication the bar wasn't actually members only, nor will it be for the Catalans game but will be from the Cas game on the 4th May.

Although lots of people signed up for membership on Friday for when the bar does become members only, thank you if you were one of those.

Please pop along and check the bar out for the Catalans game and sign up for membership then or online before, the feedback we have has been very positive so far so hopefully our members will make this a proper supporters bar !!.

I think it's a good move forward.

Was it the stadium or HGSA or combination of both?

Personally I don't mind the opposition fans being allowed in if they are 'sponsored' by a member.

I've been in the Wakey club many times after the game but always with a Wakey member.

The more the merrier.

Not from the 4th May Vs Castleford, the bar will become admittance for HGSA members only

For the Catalans game this is true, it was supposed to be members only from the Leeds game but due to miscommunications this didn't happen and was open to the public with a view to promote the bar as a members only bar and for people to sign up for HGSA membership which many people did.

It was actually a prominent member of the club who suggested/offered it to the HGSA to try and create supporters bar at the stadium and raise more awareness for the Supporters Association and for us to offer our members more for their £5 fee.

This could possibly be something that may crop up in the future depending how well the bar does, we want to be able to offer our members as much as we can while trying to involve all supporters, that's one of the reasons why we keep our membership fee at £5, it's affordable to all and the benefits of being a member continue to grow.

There is also negotiations ongoing to stock real ale/craft beers and bar snacks in the future, again all this depends on how well people support it.

if its members only and the club start to lose money because of this will it be stopped and open to all again guessing its just a trial

Don't think the club made money out if it anyway its run by sodexo.
as far as i know it is a trial period

member only haha theres always a few away fans in there as well the bar will lose money 100%
