l,m not moaning , l,m not a moaner, l simply say it as l see it, l would take a Lawrence in his prime over a passed it Ozzie, experianced or not,any day like we don,t have any experiance, this club has been suckered time and again with sick, and lame ozzies, look at the team at the top of the table, 7 overseas players , 6 islanders, 1 ozzie, the ozzie is on his way, l love islanders, honest players, l would not pay an ozzie with your money.
Lawrence 13, hinchcliffe , squad player.
Lawrence is not a Loose Forward.
Second row yes but either Hinchcliffe or Symonds should be loose as they tend to pass the ball, loose forward should almost be a fourth pivot or at least a ball handler. Hinchcliffe also does a lot of tackling which explains why he was loose forward for a serious NRL team and one injury short of playing 13 in State of Origin.
Our problem is that since Ferres and Robbo are no longer there we have Brough and Ellis who don't seem to gel together so the majority goes through Brough.
Wood and Leeming should share the hooking duties my team if all could play would be as follows
Connor/Murphy
McGillivary
Cudjoe
Wardle
Murphy/Ormsby
Brough
Brierley
Rapira
Leeming
Huby
Lawrence
Symonds
Hinchcliffe
Wood
Ta'ai
Ikahihifo
Roberts
Wood to spell Leeming Ta'ai and Ikahihifo to spell Huby and Rapira
Roberts to spell the back 3
Would give us plenty of defence, a bit of speed we just need to run our attacking line from 5 yards further back. Plenty of Beef from the bench and Wood to attack a tiring line. Brierleys job to attack to the right and back up at all times.
