The penalties mention was aimed at Johnson not Mason. I do really like Johnson, tough kid

Johnson is a tough kid he gives a huge amount of effort in attack and defence. He just seems to lack a bit of size and as you say gives a few penalties away also don't think he has the safest hands.

I think Johnson is suited as an agressive loose forward. But I just don't think we should ever move Bruno from Loose, he's too valuable!

Thought Mason was outstanding in his run on debut for us up at Newcastle.Suddenly he has become a forward it's hard to leave out.Just 22 years of age,a no brainer for the club to give him the new deal.

At the start of the season Mason tended to take the ball up and run into opponents with his chest that made him very easy to tackle.Over the last few games he has started dipping his shoulders on contact, he has obviously been working on this and is looking more solid.He is learning possibly through Raps,Kuma and Hinch.

I've noticed this and it makes a huge difference. Also, gives you the opportunity to get the legs driving.
He also looks fitter (probably due to playing more SL minutes) and is able to get back into the defensive line quicker which will help his defence.
