Just a continuation of the pretty good form we've been showing since the Hull game, despite all the frothing about the result that night, and the fact that we have played poor sides! we just needed a bit of luck and composure, something we've not had all season despite not playing that bad in most games. We've tended to lose games through our lack of composure, sometimes lack of effort, bad luck but mainly individual errors, of which the Coach/Chairman/CEO/Marketing Manager etc can do nothing about, Considering players want out, have fallen out with the coach, who has lost the dressing room, and who is totally clueless and despite letting players go who don't want to be part of our club, it was a pretty good result, apart from a narrow defeat to a team who are at the top of their game and at their home ground which is tough to get a result anyway, and a narrow defeat to a lucky Wigan side who got the benefit of some dubious calls, we haven't had a bad few weeks. Although that's probably down to the opposition not us
And yes, most of it is tongue in cheek. I hope the pie is nice

Let's not get carried away I will happily taste your pie if we finish 8th and make a challenge cup semi or final.
We all enjoy watching the team do well however a good performance in defeat can often be a positive I agree but the fact remains we were way under performing and two swallows don't make a summer but it appears more positive times lie ahead.
I don't think we were underperforming, we were finding ways to lose games we could and should have won, i put that down to lack of confidence/composure. But i was shot down, like many others who didn't agree that we were almost dead and buried as a club. We certainly haven't been as bad as the table suggests, but ultimately the table doesn't lie.
Can't see where he played any better than Brierleys been playing but no real complaints he had a decent game.
Bit of a conundrum though as Brierley shouldn't play again until Grix has a bad game.
Organisation of the defensive line.
No coincidence you loose Grix and go from conceding 15 points a game to 30-40 points a game, and before anyone starts, this is not knocking Brierley, but praising Grix.

At the end of the day Rugby League is a cyclic game some could say we have had our turn as they can with Leeds however we needed a change of direction or changes to what we have got and Brierley and Hikohififi seem to fit that bill.
In some games yes we just blew it but in games like Castleford we definitely under performed from the barrier I was stood at.

You re right meast, the table doesn't lie, I agree with you that we have had no tonkins, but whatever you put it down too, Lack of composure/ confidence/ bad luck or whatever, we have been in the bottom two since the season started, However lets hope things have changed and we are now going in the right direction. That was certainly the style of football I'm interested in watching, and I think you will find very few complaints from anyone if we keep that up, If we do then the wins will come, and hopefully the fans as well. The Giants and Cas were easily the best two sides all weekend, both playing higher ranked clubs. A word of praise for Grix as well, yes he dropped a ball ! but the very best players do that from time to time, He pulled off a stunning tackle on a big man that saved a certain try, and he was steady in every way to be fair. The new guy looks like he will be very usefull, really good to see the offloads coming, and hitting the line with pace. I don't know if Conner meant that or not but it looked great on TV, Probably making the best of a poor pass, but they all count. Great effort from the whole team.
lots of humble pie should be getting eaten , few that kept the faith smiling, makes a difference actually getting a few bodies back on the field and a win to get some confidence back. some of the daft rumours seem to have gone quiet too..apart from durham's before the game
i didnt agree with grix coming straight back in for brierley but we got the 2 points so its justified for me!
roll on next week, giants on the march!! the season could yet still be salaved with a top 8 finish and wembley trip
