Has it ever occurred to any one , The majority of people in Huddersfield just don't rate Rugby league, or at least not enough to go and watch it, That's just how it is, I wouldn't go watch Town if they paid me to go, or any other soccer team either', does that mean Huddersfield don't deserve a soccer team because they don't get 5,000 more fans , I have talked to Town fans " one of my mates being one of them " He never stops talking about them, I just think what a sad life you lead mate if that's all you have to talk about and spend your hard earned on. The point is It's his hard earned to spend on what he wants. and the sad facts are that the vast majority of Huddersfield people choose to spend theirs on something other than Fartown They go Fishing, Biking , Golfing whatever.
There is this unbelievable opinion about that people need to offer up some sort of credible excuse for not going to a match, The only excuse they need is " I didn't want to go " what that has to do with anyone else I have no idea, they aren't stopping anyone else going.
Regards Huddersfield people being tight, I'm told that the Town has the highest number of Golf club members per head of population in West Yorkshire, I don't know if that's true I don't play myself, but I should think it will be more costly than watching League, and that's just golf, as far as I know there has been some sort of explosion in Biking as well, Bottom line, People do what they want, not what other people want them to do.
You claim you were having a go at the 2500 season ticket holders who couldn't be bothered. You're words! So yes you was personally attacking those people. You don't know why they didn't go.
I can google words or get a dictionary out to try and look superior to another but you tend to find that people who call people's use of English or poor grammar are those that might be trying to get themselves out of a hole.
What hole is this ??
'I was personally attacking those 2,500 people' not one of whom I can name or know, just recognise which seats were empty. Get real if I was going to personally attack someone I would do it right and at least understand what I was saying or use the correct vocabulary for it to be clear what I meant.
If you'd have said I had personally attacked Paul Anderson or some of the players after some of the shocking performances this season yeah I can see that but I go back to my original point I was there to see them.

The Giants have some very loyal supporters and ertainly deserve a SL team, but the question was do Huddersfield, and the answer to that is NO. l go to the gam and back by bus an foot, and its always groundhog day. "are the giants playing today", no lm in fancy dress., " l was going to go but " out comes the book of excuses. Same on the way home, "how did they get on", l usually ignore them. lf we get to Wembley there will be 20000 plus all professing to be lifelong supporters. l have said it before. the general public of Huddersfield are some of the most tight fisted miserable folk l have ever met and they deserve what they get
when I used to watch fartown, if somebody asked me how we had got on , I didn't ignore them, I just said" if you cared that much, you should have gone"..

Ignoring someone or being rude is surely counter productive to attracting new fans, lapsed fans, or those with a passing interest to the next game? People throughout the game call for clubs and the RFL to be better at marketing, there are regular threads on here and on other forums including mine (wire) and VT...it's generally someone else's fault someone else's responsibility.
My twopenneth, try answering the "how did we get on" question with a bit of positive spin..."it was a great game terrific try by Ormsby, or a close defeat but Brierley is looking good and we're on the up", you just never know and it seems less hard work than staring glumly out of the bus window.
Maybe people don't go to the games because they don't want to converse with people that argue with every opinion or statement that differs from theirs.
We as fans are letting ourselves down, we share the same passion and interest, but we let that come between us and there actually seems some hostility on this board.
Can we get back to talking rugby and get some positivity back into our club?
Only teams who can achieve 10k attendances deserve a SL team.
A nice 5 team SL
This is the quandary facing RL and how we structure it in Europe
Hull, Leeds, Wire, Saints, Wigan and Catalans sit in first class Cas, HKR, have extra Legroom Hudds, Wakey, Widnes and Salford sneak in with the baggage
Bradford was in the First Class section and could be there again with a sugar daddy, but we have Fax, Leigh, London, Oldham who could replace the Cargo dwellers and have similar gates within a few years.
Lets accept what we are and expand through competition, a properly funded two tens structure with p&r is where we are heading, and I expect to see Canada and Toulouse in it when it happens
