The Giants have some very loyal supporters and ertainly deserve a SL team, but the question was do Huddersfield, and the answer to that is NO. l go to the gam and back by bus an foot, and its always groundhog day. "are the giants playing today", no lm in fancy dress., " l was going to go but " out comes the book of excuses.
Same on the way home, "how did they get on", l usually ignore them.
lf we get to Wembley there will be 20000 plus all professing to be lifelong supporters.
l have said it before. the general public of Huddersfield are some of the most tight fisted miserable folk l have ever met
and they deserve what they get

I've heard all the arguments over the years but I think this sum it up perfectly.

I'm Huddersfield born and bred and generally I believe we are in the main friendly and generous in spirit.

BUT........

Given the chance for a good old moan and / or complaining at being asked to fork out some money then we must be somewhere near the top of the list.

I missed Fridays game because of a pre arranged event but was texting someone at the game all the way through wishing I was there.

Sounded a belter.

With this I mean the season ticket holders who didn't show up.

Family of 4 would cost what? Minimum of £40?

Who are you to judge these people or call them.

And as mentioned we are hardly having a good season.

People are entitled to spend their own time and money on what they want without being called out by people on here. 50 years of thick and thin or not!

I'm not judging or calling anyone just pointing out the facts.

To be honest I didn't expect 7,500 thought 6,000 would have been a good gate especially when it ain't on TV.

Good season or not a challenge cup tie with Leeds is an attractive game and
'Who am I to judge these people or call them' ?? I guess that's simple I'm someone that was there on the night and noticed the massive drop in Huddersfield fans and increase in Leeds fans whose season is worse than ours !! Comprende ??

but we are not talking about a one off game that's not what the poster asked. l know lots who say they carn,t afford, its usually the ones with the newest cars,phones, gadgets, takeaways,fag in one hand , pint in the other, bragging about their latest cruise. ok its their cash to do as they want, but please don,t then tell me you are a Giants supporter, but carn,t afford to go, l call them GUNNERS, they were gunner go, BUT!!

Talk about self righteous. Neither of you two are in a position to judge how much of a fan somebody is. I know people who are real fans but don't go anymore as they have been made redundant and putting food on the table is struggle enough. Are they not true fans?

As I said. Folk work hard for their money and are entitled to spend that money and that free time on whatever they want. If they want a week off the rugby then that's their choice and don't need their loyalty challenged by people on here.

Too many mercenaries on here. Huddersfield RLFC may be your life but don't push your beliefs onto others.

And for the record, I very rarely miss a game in any competition, home or away. I have been watching the club for 30 years and had the odd season away for various reasons.

Interesting response however Huddersfield RLFC ain't my life I'm just a long term supporter 20 years + more than you and it's my choice to go whenever I want to as it is to anyone and everyone.

Mercenaries mmm well I'm not a Professional soldier hired to serve in a Foreign Army or someone working only for money or another reward.

I think I'm a Rugby League supporter certainly not self righteous which defines as complacent, smug, superior or a hypocrite.

A degree in English Language can be quite useful.

In fact Fartown for life if you knew the definitions of the words you used I find it quite insulting or quite cowardly as your post comes across as someone saying what they think so why hide behind words that most people don't know the meaning of.

If you read my original post I asked a question as simple as that, it is after all a forum for debate about Rugby League and associated matters. Crowd numbers is just one of them.

Of course some people can't make it at times I can't get to Catalans due to an appointment tomorrow but you chose in your post to generalise as if I was personally attacking each supporter when I was pointing out a massive drop in support and asked a simple question nothing more nothing less.

You claim you were having a go at the 2500 season ticket holders who couldn't be bothered. You're words! So yes you was personally attacking those people.
You don't know why they didn't go.

I can google words or get a dictionary out to try and look superior to another but you tend to find that people who call people's use of English or poor grammar are those that might be trying to get themselves out of a hole.
