It is ironic that given our injury problems he would have got a good chance to cement a spot this year - but hindsight is a wonderful thing.
The way Murphy was playing last season no one would have wanted him dropped for broughton, and imagine if young Connor had been left out- then the youngsters aren't getting a chance calls would be out.

He wouldn't have gone if we had been playing him and if the plan for Joe Wardle was as a 2nd rower to me it doesn't make sense.

However it is what it is be interesting to see the solution on Friday we can't afford to weaken the pack as we are on 'fumes' as it is.

maybe because wardle had to play second row with ferres being injured/banned

why cant you get it in your head that murphy was pakying too well last season on the wing for broughton to cement a place!!!

Excuse me !! Murphy would have played equally well at Centre if the Hull and Leeds matches were anything to go by.

He played centre at Wakefield as well, the fact is we gave Broughton no ball when he got a chance but by your statement why sign Ormsby when Murph plays so well on the wing ??

I watched every match bar one last season so don't talk to me like I'm thick I know how all the team played go on banging your head on the wall it won't change anything but won't do any good either !!

Broughton isn't the same type of player Ormsby is though. Ormsby is more like Jerry than broughton.

Mixed feelings about the cup this year. On the one hand it could be a welcome distraction from our so far poor league form - on the other could really help us to continue our more recent form and cement some continuity in our structures and gain valuable confidence from a good cup run.
From PA comments after the Leeds game in the league he seems to be relishing the challenge of a cup run so will probably see us going all out on Fri against a stronger Leeds side. Get through this and who knows - we could go far given a reasonable cup draw.
Our best chance of silverware maybe as even if we make the Top 8 we will be doing it tough.
So the cup dream is there for us - Wemberlee Wemberlee

we have done the whole broughton thing on previous topics for last two seasons time to move on

and leeming to have some kind of impact from the bench!

hinchliffe has started to make some good running lines with the ball last two games, hope it continues as its great

carry on with the high completion rate and we will be hard to beat
