Brough - dead leg
Crabtree - groin (4/6 weeks if surgery needed)
wood - quad (4 weeks)
huby - wrist (4 weeks)
robinson - back/retired
simpson - ankle
grix - shoulder (3/5 months)
wardle - quad (4 weeks)

on top of an already young small squad, doing it tough right now, hope to get some bodies back soon! over to you our new conditioning coach (sterling job so far)

How the hell can someone receiving a dead leg in a game be down the conditioner!?, or a player damaging a shoulder in the tackle!? Or contributing to a player having to retire after years and years of playing the game!? The others I know very little about, as you probably do also, you certainly aren't a friend of the conditioner thats for certain.

It is coincidental. It's been made clear that the players are fitter ad stronger than ever, and that may be the case. But that doesn't necessarily mean that they are rugby ready? We mentioned months ago that we have a thin squad compared to last season. Injuries are a given in rugby, so with that in mind, we perhaps shouldn't have gone into the season with only only 19/20 established super league players...

Can't really see how the club could have planned for 7 injuries, 1 retirement due to injury and 1 leaving due to you know what after just 1 league game. Thats more three quarters of a team gone at the moment.

Yes we are light the club knew such, lets not forget but Anderson has said we are continually looking for players (we have space on the cap) but they just aren't available at this time of the season, SL or NRL. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but the situation is pretty unusual to say the least and at the rates its going I'd bring your boots just in case.

However looking forward to seeing the likes Mikey Wood if picked. Not seen anything of Darnell McIntosh, anyone else? Good player?

Darnell does look the business he wasn't on the park long against the Cats but didn't seem out of his depth,having said that I believe he is carrying an injury.Why are people worried about playing the young guns?These are young men with an abundance of confidence.

exactly, no one could have foreseen the injuries, in fact both PA and CT said that the squad are looking in great shape, at the time, only Huby was out injured ( officially) so not sure how the coaches or conditioners can be blamed.

It will be interesting to see what fuss, if any, is made of our injuries and missing players, as it's usually forced down everyone's throats when it's one of the big boys that have a few injuries.

i seem to remember last season, almost before every game, that fans of the opposition team were on here saying how we should beat their lot easily because of their missing players etc.

so in that respect, Wigan should realistically be putting 40+ on us, i won't be too downhearted if they do, i would rather have a full compliment in september than february!

Mcintosh has always looked a handful when i've seen him in the Academy, pace to burn and always came inside looking for work.

Mikey Wood always put in a decent shift too and was a handful for opposition.

Hope they get a chance !!
