Ok, Lunt decided for whatever reason he didn't want to play for us any more, and personally I think his career and form suffered for it so he's never been as good as he was before Leeds got him (was that Nathan Brown?)

Maybe he thinks he was better than the club, maybe he just didn't get on with some people or whatever, I'll never know

But while he wore the C&G I hoped he'd find his form and help us to a title, and I'm sorry but the fact he's at HKR in the middle 8s being spanked in record form while looking anonymous amuses me

Here's to the Giants squad getting a champions ring they can be proud of

To be serious (as another mod Codey says -"We dont know all the background, and never will)

What poster on here, or even club staff -in their own particular employment - who:-

1. FEELS he has better promotion prospects elsewhere (I stress FEELS by the way)

2. Could possibly get a better financial package elsewhere

3. Isnt on best terms with his work colleagues or boss etc

wouldnt put feelers out / enquire about another job/ placement

I know I would ---and suspect many others also for their / their family`s sake !

RL players are after all "IN EMPLOYMENT " these days - its not the old 1 club mentality and with the limited time in the game its no crime to TRY and get the most they can in return financially and job satisfaction

Personally I would have liked Lunt to remain at Giants playing to the standard we all know he was capable of --but for WHATEVER reasons unknown it wasnt to be

I just think that in a similar career position in whatever trade /profession they are in - many posters would have made similar choices to TRY better themselves - which perhaps they should consider before firing bullets and gloating over the fact it doesnt at the moment to appear to outsiders to have been the correct choice on his part He may or may not regret it!? Who knows ?-Such is life!

I don't think anyone would think any less of -for example- Jerry, if he was to announce if he was moving on to- for example- Wigan. Jerry has worked hard whenever he's pulled on a shirt. I think people feel differently about lunt as it just did not appear he was "working" to the best of his ability- despite the fact he was getting good game time and didn't appear to take being dropped on the chin.

i'm sure most of us will wish Shaun well, apart from against us
as i said before it's a shame he didn't just get his down and get his game back on track 2 years ago.

but players come and players go, and IMO lunty spat his dummy out and wasn't prepared to work hard for us.

I fully respect Jools counter and yours too Martin - he seemed to do as little as possible
But isnt it then someone elses fault for including him - whatever salary package / terms hes on

The same argument as choosing a junior player who tries his absolute utmost but all can see hes not yet ready Yes hes been given a chance --but he was chosen He didnt just get changed and walk out on the day Some seem to forget that aspect when they criticise

But even in this case scenario- that could depend on how Sean and Jerry perceive their treatment "at work" - as you, Jools, and I would
We are all individuals with our own point of view and not knowing all the facts and the two sides of every case were commenting a little bit blindly.............. NO?
