right so the 8's start on thursday with a tough trip to wigan, but we've proven we can do the business there over the years.

i assume only Ferres and Wood are missing through injury? if we can win at wigan then it would be a huge boost for the rest of the competition.
i would say let's get a good following over there but with it being a thursday, there's no chance of that i fear, but the ones that do go, let's make plenty of noise and get behind the lads!

I'm dragging the kids back over the Pennines and keeping them up till midnight- Terrible mother me!!!
I suggested they stay at grandmas and I go on the bus- Hahaha they were having none of it!!!!!!
Other half is unfortunately going to miss all the Thursday games as he will be away with work so can get another bod in my car if anyone wants a lift- but I'm planning on setting off early 4.30 ish to avoid the terrible teatime traffic and eating at the red robin.
It's a tough first game and I'm not expecting a win as Wigan haven't lost there since last August- but if we play well we are certainly capable of getting one!

jools, you know you can't take kids to thursday night games, poor things!

last time we had the idea of setting off early and going for food, but yet despite setting off at 3.30 ended up getting to wigan just after 6.30!

Of the Last few times on Fridays when we have been we set off 5.30 from Oldham and just missed kick off, and set off 5pm from hudds and arrived with less than 10 minutes to spare.
Im hoping a Thursday may be slightly better!!!

Tough start to the super 8's

yes no wood or ferres so robinson and leeming to continue as hookers and wardle maybe to go into the second row again, he missed the wakey game to freshen up.

we obvioulsy need a better performance than last time out but this is like a new comp now so we will be up for it.

wigan not lost at home all season, but we do have a decent record playing there, hope its one of those nights!

at least we will still be in the top 4 even with defeat cant afford to lose many though with cas and wire on our tails

Looking forward to it already, we have a pretty decent record over there -apart from last year's play-off debacle- so quietly confident of getting something, we need all areas to be firing though.
turn out wise i suspect it will be the usual 250 or so again but we will make plenty of noise !!

No reason at all why we can't win, As already noted we have a decent record over there in last few years. The players know better than us what It's all about, they know what they need to do to get where they want to be.
It's not knockout rugby, and it's not all over if we don't get the result, It's no disgrace to lose at Wigan ( should that happen ) We no longer go over there expecting a good Tonking. As long as we give it our best shot that will do me, and it will set us off on the right foot.

We will be the under dogs for this, if we lose I will not be too disheartened as this and saints away are the two I would probably expect us to lose.

However I think we are more than capable of getting something from the game. Will be interesting to see who gets the nod at full back and where wardle will play.

Don't expect many to travel over though.

also bateman who has caused us havoc this season when hes played us with his sidesteps

Just got my tickets for Wigan and saints- according to the ticket office steady sales-A few super8s ticket packs already sold too so good news.
