interestingly, as is usually the case,none of the backs were in the top 5 metre makers,compare that with wakefield who had 4 backs in their top 5.
does this suggest that wakefield's kicking game was poor and that our backs didn't get much chance to return the ball or does it suggest we slugged it out down the middle?
our top 5 metre makers were all forwards, with only ukuma making 100 metres, huby next with 96,

22 missed tackles, but the most shocking stat is that bruno missed a tackle!

I think it did seem that our tactics were to go up the middle as much as possible. I commented on Lawrence missing that tackle at the time- it was a poor effort too- most un-Lawrence like. Makes his total this season into double figures and more than one every other game!

Our tactics all season seem to be kick early and try to keep them pinned back

Unfortunately our defence has been poor and teams have found gaps - especially wide

Our backs simply don't get any ball to make meters with, Hughes never passes, Wardle cant pass, Ferres has been out of form

On what basis are you classing our defence as poor as we have conceded fewer points than any other side and have the second best tackle success rate (behind Cas)

We have superb goal line defence
we kick deep and conceed 50m (not including penalties) and are on our own line again

Which is also why our attack is pants

I pretty much agree, our scrambling defence has stood us in good stead.

However none of this is relevant, for or against, because we are in 4th position so we must be a getting it right, even if we are not good to watch
