What about the King brothers. Both playing regularlarly for wire. In exchange for them we got Mick Learmonth who has now signed for York on a permanent basis.
This to me is a bigger balls up than mcnally.
We might see how he goes next year in super league, but at the time of leaving he was nowhere near a super league player.
Where as the kings have done it within a season of leaving us.
Job done got the two points and secured the 4th spot, we were in a lose lose position regarding the scoreline, win by lots and wakey were pants, just win and we were pants!
we were pretty poor though and wakefield showed alot of spirit which i expected
wakey +30 on the handicap was a gift
we never really looked like losing the game.
top 4 at the end of regular season for the 5th time in 7 years i think, its time to get that grand final.
ask yourself if you thought the Giants would get in the top 4 at the start of this season... not many gave us a chance!
look forward to the super 8's now
To be honest I do not consider the regular season to be over until these last 7 games are done and dusted. If we finish 4th or better after that it will be 5 in 7 if we don't I do not think we can claim any such credit and to be honest I think 4th had to be the minimum hope at the season start though perhaps Wire's problems have helped us after our start it is still a good achievement but will count for nothing if we don't stay there.

Where the king's ever on a full time contract. I doubt it. Therefore I doubt they were exchanged for anyone. They look ok but nothing special. I still ask who the Giants have released in the last 10 years who have become top super league players elsewhere.

We have released one or two who were already top Super league players, just not Super enough for the Giants.
Brough wasn't good enough for several clubs before we got him
.
Brough has been good enough for every club he has played for right back to his York days. His problems were off field, and credit to the Giants they are the only club to have sorted them.
Exactly Bridge was signed by Bradford after we were relegated and all contracts became null and void. If we didn't want him why did we take him back on short term loan upon our return to super league. I ask again who we have released that has been a real regret.
