He can do no wrong in my book, very underrated, he's consistent and almost error free, can't remember when he got pushed back in the tackle.

Just the type of qualities we need from the rest of the squad going by the comment on here.

Almost error free -I don't agree. People see what they want to see.
He's Mr average. -like Grix he wouldn't get a look in at any other top side.

What games have you been to this season ?? Wardle does fly out of the line a bit too often but unlike Leroy it's normally to make a 'big hit' not a silly interception play. He is still learning hence the 'misses' but please don't put him in the same sentence as 'Grix' who is fortunate to be playing when we have someone with the potential of Jared Simpson. Had Simpson not come through Scott Grix was the right call before Murphy but now both are in front and let Smurph get back to being a winger which on form he has done better than Broughton hence the coaches call although now it's a very close one after Broughtons last few games where he has been good.

I want to see a complete performance from the Giants when we gel together because we will give one of the top teams a right 'mullering' should have been St Helens two weeks ago but hey ho !!

Anyway Jools ain't you the one that's dissed anyone and everyone who's said anything about Scott Grix and told us how we knock the players and they lose confidence so why the change ??

If this is about Murphy, without quoting stats, can you tell us why he is average?

Everyone has their own favourite players and opinions.
Some do not recognise a good reliable team player who is consistent like Murphy and others. The ones who play week in, week out giving value for money. Every team needs these and they should be appreciated by all.

To be fair every player makes mistakes but some are more costly than others and some players more then atone for theirs during the course of a game or a season.

He's good, and reliable- and is value for money- but average. No point in pretending otherwise.
Murphy certainly wouldn't make the squads of Wigan, Saints, Leeds, Warrington or Catalan. He's average but It doesn't mean I don't support him!
Leroy is a better player but gets the stick- why? Well perhaps it's Because he's a better player..... I've heard a lot of criticism about leroys defence lately, (25 tackles a game, over 90% tackle completion) whilst others mistakes in that area are overlooked- that's what I object to.

Warrington have Penny and Ormsby in their squad. Saints have Dawson and Swift. Catalans Yaha? And Sigismeau? How would Murphy not find his way into these three teams squads before any of these players?

I understand what you are saying about Murphy, and I agree pretty much. He is not a world beater by any standard but he is an excellent squad player who can cover 3 positions without to much problem, probably on a par with Ellis.

There aren't two many people who can't give a true opinion or valuation of a player , because they either like him or don't like him and it colours their opinion, It's just how people are.

Leroy is a lot of peoples favourite, and so anything that is seen as a criticism of him is frowned upon or attacked and condemned as disloyal, almost as though he is above criticism. I recognise the talent he has, he is a good player , but he is not the player he was two years ago, His defence has gone backwards badly, he seems to me to be protecting himself from injury ( that's just my opinion ) Whatever the reasons for it he would be very lucky to get any consideration as a choice for England. That's what I see, if that makes me disloyal so be it, I still go to watch him and the team.
