I am not a big fan of PA ,I've said so and I've said why, That doesn't mean I won't support the team, I want some success as much as the next person. He is far from the worst coach we have had, The crunch will come with the playoff's as usual and maybe this year we will peak just at the right time. It's irrelevant anyway he has just re-signed for two more years, so somebody that matters is happy with him.
I did not want his head on a spike, but I wasn't keen on keeping him. But like you said, he's signed a new contract so I will back him. And since my last moan we have gone on a good run. Onwards and upwards.
fair play FFL, a lot of people were knee jerking after a few close defeats and flapping for baloo to get the boot, despite the defeats clearly being the fault of individual errors.
i know your an honest and loyal fan, but some of the stuff this season has been plain embarrassing from some "fans" , we are 4th, in a good position for a shot at the top 4, and recruiting well for next year.
yet had we done what the knee jerkers wanted we could be struggling to make the top 8, and looking at losing some top drawer players rather than signing them.
You're right Meast. My assessment was more about our style of rugby and lack of ideas. Fair play To PA, he has sorted this out. I was proud of the team on Sunday as we showed desire and commitment. As fans that's all we want.
Some folk on here like you said were embarrassing, demanding top class players. I thought this was unrealistic. However the club have pulled 2 class signings out of the bag.
It is a good time to support our club with a bright future ahead. PA has my support 100% now. He is giving our youth a chance, which was one of my gripes before.
The following are off contract next season. Who would you resign?
Chris Bailey, Tyler Dickinson, Jacob Fairbank, Liam Johnson, Craig Kopczak, Mick Learmonth, Shaun Lunt, Ukuma Ta'ai
For me ta'ai would be top of the list, and it's worrying that we haven't yet announced this. Also the youngsters Dickinson, Johnson and learmonth. Perhaps koppy on a reduced contract if we can't get Hill or walmsley Not sure that Fairbank is what we need, ferres at 13 so no more Bailey and Shaun who???? Oh that guy that's been injured most of the season at KR....
Here's my way of looking at this - if these men leave the club, which club can you see them going to?
Given that the club should be aspiring to actually win trophies, if the answer isn't Wigan, St Helens, Leeds or a top half NRL side then that should inform whether or not they are offered a contract.

so you are saying we should have kept matty Dawson
Had the pleasure, and I mean pleasure, of meeting ukuma tai yesterday evening.
2 thoughts. What a physically strong guy, and what a genuinely nice guy. Soft spoken and was really good with my young lad. We chatted for ages about lots of different stuff, and got the impression he has enjoyed his time here, and would like to stay longer and re-sign.

What a nice guy.
I agree RLR! Met him in the supermarket when he'd only been in the country a couple of weeks. My lad recognised him and even though his young daughter was tired and grumpy and probably a bit overwhelmed with everything, and he must have felt a bit awkward, he was friendly and patient with my two. Like you said seemed a genuinely nice guy. Hope you did your best to convince him he's a fans favourite!!!!
