thats how i saw it too

huby had the ball stripped but regained it before putting it down..

crabtree got the ball down on the line in all one movement, the ref was only a few feet away and could see it was on the line but wanted to confirm if it was all one movement which it was

then the murphy try came off solomona.

all right decisions, we were winning anyway!

I agree, we are our own worst enemy at times.
On the two decisions I thought the Hubby one was a clear try and I didn't see Earl's arm move forward, I got the feeling another tackler had come in late and it was enough to just ease him over We have had far worse given against us.

if those tries had been given against us we would be bloody moaning , for me they were both 50/50 and could have gone either way but for once we got the breaks

They where 50 50 calls on a different day they would have gone the other way! It's the way of the game can be confusing as hell at times. But this time they have worked in our favour and I ain't in a rush to apologise to cas and give the two points because two try's were potentially dubious

No need for any apologising. Both 50/50 calls, both teams would be saying the same if they had had been given against them. Sometimes you get the rub of the green, sometimes you don't, simple. At the end of the day we were not good enough in the first 40 mins and lost the game then. Next week we may get dubious calls, thats the game. Good luck for the rest of the season. It was good to see Chubbs enjoying his rugby with you guys, and how I wish we could have kept hold of Ferres, best offloader of the ball in Super League in my opinion, he caused havoc down our right edge. See you all in Newcastle!!

the way i saw the dubious tries, is that on both occasions the referee gave a try on the field based on what he saw, as of the new rules, the VR then has to find conclusive evidence that his call was wrong, on both occasions there was no clear evidence that a try wasn't scored so the tries had to stand.

for me huby, had the ball stripped then touched it down after regathering it, and Eorl's, looked like his momentum had stopped but not the defenders, therefore the last movement from the defender caused Eorl to roll onto the ball, so in effect it was like an "own try" as it was the cas players movements which caused the pressure on the ball, Eorl didn't make any attempt to move himself..although i do think he got some part of the ball down in the first instance

but yes, had those gone against us i would be pretty miffed, but its about time we got some dubious calls our way
