I will only see the positives in this signing - heard the rumour that he was talking to us and Leeds - he chooses the Giants - so that in itself if huge. Anderson wants him and recognises that we need a pack player with quality like Sam who has shown throughout his career that he is a proven winner. Don't follow the NRL much so not too aware of his injury this season but he has plenty of time to recover and will surely want to end his Warriors career playing well?
Anyway he is a Giant for next year - and early announced so will hopefully encourage others to re-sign or come to us. All this is good news and I look forward to seeing him in C&G next season.

Hopefully the arrival of Sam for next season will encourage ukuma to sign on the dotted line too. That would be awesome!

Well there it is! Great news! Our Southern Hemisphere imports have been hit and miss! After Faalago, Lod, and Simpson I think we are due a player who makes a consistent impact like hodgson did for us.
He has played at the highest level and won the biggest international honours. Looks like a power house. Not the tallest of props but looks set solid. One clip I found shows him making some good hard runs and hitting hard in defence!
Question over his recurring hammy issue, well we have some excellent med and rehabilitation guys over here and the issue is now so lots of time before he joins up with us.
Also coming in November for preseason is a big deal. We can make sure he is fit and healthy while getting familiar with the systems and players!

That would be massive if we could retain taai! He has always been effective but this year with a full preseason for the first time his pace and explosiveness have gone to another level. Dangerous man in the 2nd row or loose! We need need these physical power houses! On top of that players like taai are fun to watch! Honest player who gives it his all!

A very good player and could be that missing ingredient in our pack. I'm looking forward to seeing us have a world cup winner in claret and gold.

welcome to the giants sam lets hope he turns out to be a cracking signing, as Ukuma has, although i remember people wanting to send him back after only a few games

Great signing. I've watched NRL for the past few yearson Setanta/Premier sports. As it happens NZ Warriours are my NRL team.

Rapira has always stood out as an honest hard running, hard hitting prop. Nothing fancy. Does his job very well.

Despite his injury, he would have struggled to hold down a regular spot in the team due to the pure quality warriors have in the front row.

He is at a perfect age to be coming to us as a prop. Hopefully Dave o'sullivan will get his hamstring (which has only gone twice) sorted.

I think we will lose koppy, so really need to keep Ukama and can somebody tell me when Brett's contract runs out.
