Earl is credited with a lot of tackles, A Big number of them he is 2nd and 3rd man in, That's not his fault, Potential line breakers don't run at big guys like him, They run at guys like Robinson, It happens to most big players.
I can't fault the effort Earl puts in, I don't think anyone can. I just think he had potentially a more skilful game in him that was being developed, N Brown had the knack of bringing on individual players before he had his wobblers.
P Anderson might see's Earl more in his own image , Except Earls style of running is not suited to line busting, which was Andersons game. He drags players in no problem but the offloads don't come, so there is no advantage. It's not easy for sure , but he was becoming good at it and now it's gone , which is what I find a shame.
