I doubt it!

Possibly. Sharp was a stickler for a very set game plan by all accounts. Even down to who gets the ball on each set and who they then pass to.

Earl is credited with a lot of tackles, A Big number of them he is 2nd and 3rd man in, That's not his fault, Potential line breakers don't run at big guys like him, They run at guys like Robinson, It happens to most big players.

I can't fault the effort Earl puts in, I don't think anyone can. I just think he had potentially a more skilful game in him that was being developed, N Brown had the knack of bringing on individual players before he had his wobblers.

P Anderson might see's Earl more in his own image , Except Earls style of running is not suited to line busting, which was Andersons game. He drags players in no problem but the offloads don't come, so there is no advantage. It's not easy for sure , but he was becoming good at it and now it's gone , which is what I find a shame.

Yes, good on him. I am not knocking Eorl, as I have said the effort is always there, I am more thinking of what might have been.

Somewhere in the dust of time rest the bones of the Galilean
He who was spat upon. He whose face was marred beyond all human likeness
Somewhere buried among the lies of the past rests the tomb of Yeshua
Of he who was made God in a world without Hope.
And when this son of Joseph is found. What then will the Church of Rome say?
Prepare yourself for the day is coming. And men will say
"Blessed are the wasted lives who perished in the flames of the holy war"

Except of course that he was our top tackle buster last season is our top tackle busting prop this season. Has in fact been our top tackle busting forward for the last 9 seasons barring 2 years when he was second and has been our top tackle busting prop since 2004. Which was around the time Tony Smith left and Eorl stopped pretending to be a centre and tried running over people rather than stepping round them.

And all this despite "not running his weight".

Was not aware of those stats on Huby's offloads. I'm a big believer in the stats so I've been proven wrong. I still stand by my point though, that players individual strengths don't shine under Anderson.
