Somewhere in the dust of time rest the bones of the Galilean
He who was spat upon. He whose face was marred beyond all human likeness
Somewhere buried among the lies of the past rests the tomb of Yeshua
Of he who was made God in a world without Hope.
And when this son of Joseph is found. What then will the Church of Rome say?
Prepare yourself for the day is coming. And men will say
"Blessed are the wasted lives who perished in the flames of the holy war"

If the answer is no then surely the issue is not the coaching but the squad.

TBF I think it's the club. From top to bottom we lack something. It's something certain clubs have, we don't. It's probably a natural consequence of our history but having said that as a Huddersfield fan of 40 years this is without a doubt, the best performing side we have had and one of our best coached.

It is utter madness to me that people want to sack our best coach of the last 50 years simply because we lose matches against teams that are more succesful than us.

Some of our fans need to give their heads a shake. For a club that hasn't won a major final for 53 years we have far too many fans that can't handle defeat.

The reality is that with the attitude of players in this country coupled with the way the salary cap and league is structured it is virtually impossible for a club like ourselves to recruit the type of players that would help us kick on.

Re: anderson : Thu May 21, 2015 3:21 pm
My main issue with Anderson's recruiting methods is, that seemingly (highlight seemingly) he signs players and doesn't play to there strengths.
Huby- Ball handling prop, that will offload with 4 in the tackle, offloads barely allowed (as it seems anyway)
Ellis- Preferred position is hooker, strong kicking game, we don't need a hooker and Danny covers kicking
Broughton- Pace, literally non of our moves play into the hands of a speedy winger

I mean I am being pretty presumptious that Anderson says don't offload, but it certainly appears that way. It just seems to me like a waste, other players have been sent on loan almost as soon as we have signed them under Anderson and its a waste of money. I would rather see that money saved, to make the club more viable for Ken, or a reduction in ticket prices which could see an increase in crowds.

Can't really reduce season tickets any more than Mr Davy has over recent years.

If a £50 super league ticket won't entice new supporters, nothing will.

Our signings seem to be cheap players who we can develop. Some times it works, some times it doesn't.

Murphy, Wardle are two fine examples of when it's worked.

So called big name signings where it hasn't really worked is Kopczack and Broughton (so far)

You may, or may not, be interested to know that Huby has 25 offloads (he is our top offloader) so far this season. That places him 7th overall (true it's nowhere near Mr Cuthbertsons ridiculous 61). It puts him on course to at least equal his 38 of last season. It could mean he equals his career high of 46.

Co-incidentally last seasons top offloader in Superleague was Brett Ferres.

Isn't perception a strange thing?

Earl Crabtree was beginning to develop a nice offload in his game and it was getting him picked for England, Seems to be long gone now.
