Ultimately it was sent up as try and there was no conclusive proof the ball did not touch the line even before the movement and nothing definitive about whom caused the movement. The flip side is of course that if sent up as no try it would not have been given, the video could support either view.
I believe that had there been no video ref that try would be given each and every time and not be seen as controversial. Watch it at full speed.
That doesn't make it a try though. I watched it at full speed with everyone else and he pushes himself forward.
