From mulls point of view, going to a side with more probability of winning things. Has not really made his mark in three years. Still a bit of a part player for us. More money, closer to home, new prop coming and youngster promoted. Can't fault him

From our point of view what ever he may be able to do now or could in the future is irrelevant. It's how the clubs play a player. We use him did 15 mins where he does some decent drives.....full stop.
If rapira comes and is played for more mins while making good drives then we have got the better end.
Doesn't matter if it's a player, coach or staff, if they don't want to be part of the Giants team I would rather they weren't persuaded.

In regards to the contract situation both ferres and taai need to be locked down! Two massive strike players who can win games for us!
I recal Anderson saying at the beginning of the season that taai had to play for a new contract!
Both would be wanted both here and the nrl. So we have to hope the club can match up and get these guys signed up again.
Let's hope it's just timing in the clubs part to boost sales for next year. Or perhaps the agents are holding out chasing the best deal. They are all workers who will do the best for themselves and family as anyone else would do!

The club said we'd offered him an improved contract. Hetherington is notoriously stingy so wasn't going to offer tonnes more. Add to that mullally lives in headingley- he just has to fall out of bed to get to training-for someone who doesn't appear to want to bend his back that could play a big factor.

I agree Leeds don't throw money about, but you have to wonder why someone as lazy as he apparently is, and plays so few minutes would be offered a contract at all at the Giants, let alone a improved one

I would. No point continuing to develop a player who is leaving when we can develop a local lad who could well be part of our squad for many years.

Born a stones throw away from Spaines Road and brought up in Huddersfield. Now live in Leeds.

Re: Sam Rapira : Sun May 24, 2015 3:10 pm
I agree Jools. He's not a match winner for us and by playing him we are helping him improve.

So drop him and give Johnson or even some of the younger lads a shot.

How do you know that Brearley ? Unless you were told by Mulley or his Agent, which I doubt.
Stop surmising and acting as the Clubs PR,unless you are?
Brearley, like a few more probably goes out of his way to find out what is happening at the club because he is generally interested. You on the other hand seem to delight in making up things and casting slurs perhaps that is why you can't find anything out for yourself. On a previous posting you asked why didn't the club tell us beforehand about Mullally? For your information all dealings between the player and his agent and his employer(the club)are done on a strictly private basis unless agreed by both parties to go public.

We don't need to sign them- we already have an excellent hooker, fullback and two great hàlf backs all 19 and under!

Who are the two under 19 half backs?

Izaac Farrell and a lad currently in our U16 who I'm really hoping they sign up next month when they are allowed to offer contracts.
