Great to be talking about positive things again. Can’t wait for next announcements, will we see some other Leytgers return, hopefully this recruitment will encourage others to join. Could be an interesting season.

I don't feel any need to respond to wind up merchants who support other clubs and who choose to post on this Forum.

For the genuine Leigh fans - out of interest, the average age of our 14 signings to date is 28 years (27.8 years to be more precise).

I never imagined that we had a cat's chance in hell of recruiting players of this calibre, on a part-time basis, so close to the start of the new season. Importantly, I have every expectation that all of these guys will wear the shirt with genuine pride and commitment - this is all that us genuine Leigh fans can hope for.

Neither did I realise how much respect that John Duffy seemingly commands out there for such a young man in coaching terms.

Still a way to go to complete the recruitment process in readiness for 2019 but full credit to the Board and the Coaching Staff for the progress made to date.
The new season will certainly still be tough but at last we have something to now look forward to and a group that the fans can identify with and get behind.

As a fan of a club that's been through the ups and mostly downs over the years, it's good to see that Leigh seem to have finally sorted everything out and can now look forward to next season. There's nothing more depressing (relatively) than when your team you've followed through thick and thin are going through the grinder.
From the signings you've made so far, you seem to have got yourselves a decent quality group of players together and with a few more signings, I reckon they'll keep you really competitive next year. Anyway, good luck for next season lads.

Well, looking at the side so far, fully fit you'll probably be a handful, but you need to improve the balance of the side with whoever you're bringing in next. Certainly the backs look a little thin

Thin yes, but some decent quality for this level in there. Only 14 named that I can see so would expect another 11 or so to come. Don't see a full back there at the mo, and need more quality halves and 9s to get us round the pitch
Think we will play the dual reg card this year, but strength in depth vital to make the play offs

What a pleasant change - a genuine fan from another club showing empathy and understanding with our plight.
Wakey have been doing it tough and against all the odds, year after year in SL.
A great survival instinct and an example to us all of how one of the less affluent clubs, manages on smaller attendances to many and can even consolidate and push on to a higher level. All this in no small part (especially in recent years) down to quality stewardship both on and off the field.
