Widnes “should†have been the games which hauled us out of the mess but what did we see? Widnes played rugby the correct way. They scored their pints and then did what all successful teams do. They kicked us to death. The put the ball out on 10 meters and basically said if you’re going to score then go for it but you’re going the full length.
That didn’t help by having one of the worst wingers imaginable in Dawson.
Super League was brilliant for the ride. But we had a coach who wa spur of his depth who only survived because he got us promoted. A lot of fans wouldn’t have a word said about him because he led us to the promised land. He’s an absolute chancer who now isn’t coaching rugby league.
Funny. If he was that good he’d be an assistant somewhere or trying to salvage his name.
