According to BBC no ''binding decisions'' have been made to competition structure for next season, the Rugby Football League has said, in light of comments by new Super League chief executive Robert Elstone. ''These discussions are still ongoing,'' the RFL statement read.

I just copied the current league standings below you spanner! its only hypothetical.

At the moment Leigh are 6th, making them the 18th best team in the country. If we had a 14 team super league, they would be in the lower half.

Well that seems like an embarrassing start for the chap - seems to have a decent background, so why on earth did he come out with that until it was formalised and agreed

SL runs RL not the RFL they might think they do but in reality sky and SL make the decisions so it’s irrelevant what the RFL says

If Fat Nige was anything to go by, the RFL boys get a pretty good salary for pretending to ruin it (typo, pls read run it). It's Beeblebrox time in Rugby League... and has been since Uncle Mo first arranged a meeting with Mephistopheles.

Derek must be mellowing, whichever side he is on I thought we would have had a comment from him by now, maybe he considers that with his remaining longevity, it is not worth commenting on.

I don't see the point in making a comment. He made his comment clear when leaving social media.
