I think there will be general change in attitude from the officials to the ever increasing cheating, gamesmanship and confronting referees. The games are getting less watchable as time passes.

I think so too. but we need consistency.

Addressing the word ‘cheating’ to the ref is the reason for the difference in ban. Nothing to do with inconsistency.

So effin at the ref should get you a lesser grading so long as you don't mention the word cheating.

Yes, that’s about it, abuse the ref using foul language you get a ban, call his integrity into doubt and the ban increases. I suppose replacing ‘bar steward’ with one of the common four letter insults would add another match.

I get called all sorts me ,i couldn't care less. If someone accuses me of a thief,then if can prove it then fair enough. otherwise i would tell them to F*** O**

Just trying to make a point about the difference between general insults with bad language, and having your integrity questioned. Replace the word thief with cheat, or fraud or corrupt etc... Which is why Dawson got 5 games, and others get 1 game for abusive language.
