To suggest Kendall is a cheat or biased is ridiculous, he's neither, he's just downright incompetent much like many of his Referee colleagues
Brian McDermott's quoted comments were also disgraceful and a massive insult to the Leigh club! If I was DB I would be asking Leeds for an explanation! All seventeen Leigh players on duty at Fev have NRL or SL experience with eight full internationals ! The way McDermott was talking you'd think we were a Pub team looking for a scrap !
Its rich coming from Leeds, a club who employ JJB,Ferris,Cuthbertson, Ablett and co the list goes on........

Just trying to make a point about the difference between general insults with bad language, and having your integrity questioned. Replace the word thief with cheat, or fraud or corrupt etc... Which is why Dawson got 5 games, and others get 1 game for abusive language.

The point is, any player verbally abusing the ref should automatically get a 5 match ban, Then players might think twice in future. It should be that only the captain can question the refs decision, and leave it at that.

Matautia does a unmalicious tackle, gets it wrong, and gets 5 matches. The RFL is an absolute joke!

For once and for all...lack of intent to injure isn't a defence (though possibly a mitigating factor) for dangerous tackles. His ban is firmly in line with similar tackles over the last two or three years.

Replace ‘unmalicious’ with ‘dangerous’ and it would be accurate, you could also add, ‘avoidable’.

Ok, can you find any other case, were someone has been given a 5 match ban for questioning the integrity of a Match Official?

I recall watching a Leigh East match a few years ago when they had a very talented side, and their young hooker John Taylor after a peculiar set off officiating decisions told the referee to something off and was dismissed.

He got 8 games for that.
