'Black Friday' - RL-style! : Thu Nov 30, 2017 7:11 pm  

So, it's the last day of November, the day that RL player contracts are supposed to expire.

I wonder if we will start to hear tomorrow, where the remaining members of our 2017 squad have gone to?. We have yet to have any confirmation of where Higson, Drinkwater, Hock, Stewart, Pelissier, Tickle, Vea, McNally, Hampshire, Hopkins, Clare and Burr are headed to continue their careers.

On the other side of the coin, I wonder if we have any more signings to announce, when November is finished?

You seem annoyed Alan! P&R in it's current form will always carry colateral damage.We have seen the best side of it,now we see the other side of it.

Not sure who you require confirmation from of non contracted players,but that is no longer in the hands of the club. Its now with the individual.

Pretty sure we will have more to come in, decent players will be available without being on high contracts - a number of whom will come under the "point to prove" banner.

As for our now non-contracted players, good luck to each and every one of em. Personally would have kept some of them on that list, but of course that's not always the choice of the club

No, not annoyed in the least - just genuinely interested in where these guys end up. The way I understand things is that contracts have to be honoured until 30 November, and then announcements can be made. I would expect to hear, now that contractual agreements have ended, about where some of these players go, and about any more signings we may be making. As for the ones who are leaving, I would expect the announcements to come from their new employers, or the players themselves, and not from Leigh.

You still on about this they offered him a deal and he considered it but then realised how crap you really are and laughed it off don’t be surprised if he goes to Wigan they have offered some sort of deal to him

Football and some RL clubs announce players released at the end of the season.....but not the Leigh 'secretive' Centurions of course, that would be sheer madness....
