Sums up my opinion exactly.

Very reliable, but for me, doesn't have the pace for a SL back.

Thanks for your efforts Mitch and good luck at Warrington.

Was on my keeper list but can’t blame him for going to Warrington if they are offering more money and SL Rugby.
If he plays wing with a regular class centre, I see him very much in the Joel Monaghan mold.
I watch every game on DVD (thanks Fred) but it will never beat being behind the sticks.

Nowhere approching or even near Joel Monaghan VL, you are mixing up someone with above average ability in Mitch Brown with the very very good player that Monaghan was, a player does not get State of Origin and test caps by not being very very good.

Have it on good authority he's signed for Wire. Whats he like? How come he's played very little for you as he had a serious injury?

Thanks.

Well from all accounts he is a very nice Man! On the football field I personally was not impressed with his performances, IMO having watched him play his best position is on the wing although, that's only because he is lacking at centre or fullback!
He is not fast and therefore he becomes easily exposed in defence! Playing at centre he repeatedly 'came out of the defence line' and left gaps which the opposition ruthlessly punished, on many occasions!. At fullback, he was even more exposed and had some appalling performances there! If you view the Wire v Leigh SL game at the HJ you will see what I mean by appalling! The qualifier game at HJ when he failed the ground the ball over the Try line and allowed Hiku to score the decisive 'TRY' (Hiku and Patton were well offside when Brown launched his high kick and the try should not have stood) The Leigh Coaching staff should also take some blame for not being able to improve Browns positional play!

I don't I say anywhere that he is as good as Monaghan.
I said he would be effective used in that same mold. Big unit on the wing that can finish a good ball, and with the height to climb above defenders challenging for a good kick on the 6th. (both things we lacked last season). As good as Monaghan, no, but useful in the areas that Monaghan excelled at, yes.

That performance at Warrington finally saw Mitch Brown dropped from the side for McNally. Brown can old his own as a winger though, with a quality centre beside him.

Would I have kept Mitch Brown for Leigh's Championship campaign? Yes.

Equally at over 30 years of age and taking up a valuable quota spot I am not actually despondent he has gone either.
