You fail to see the brand H. You only see Leigh,you have drilled that into your child and their children's minds.
From a media point of view we are the Centurions,from a merchandising point of view we are the Centurions.

Its not a case of a nickname,it sells the club. The same way it sells season tickets.

From a heritage point of view, home kit should have been some kind of coalminer/pitman ensemble, complete with hobnail boots.

Away kit could be a breasted suit type kit, to show we scrub up well on a Sunday afternoon.

Other than that, happy with the new home kit

The away one should be banned from LSV

And if we are to keep the Centurion name etc then can we not have the coat of arms on his shield?

Do we even have a junior Centurions club? If the young ones do not recognise it and the club are not prepared to fully embrace it then I fail to see the point of continuing the Moniker in all honesty.

It could just be used as nickname in 'Leigh RLFC - The Centurions' in the same way it as 'Everton FC - The Toffees' or 'West Ham FC - The Hammers' or 'Leicester City FC - The Foxes' , I am sure you get the point.

Quite correct Harold now you mention it, i have never heard referance to "are you going to the centurions" it is useually "are you going to watch Leigh" or colloquially "R't goin watchin Leyth"
To answer atomic, no we do not want the bears, and the comics was never a registered name.
I agree, the Leigh crest on tge left breast with LEIGH RLFC under and if need be 'Centurions' under that without the daft Roman Soldier.

Do you really believe that the Centurions logo sells the merchandising, and if we had another moniker we would have less support and seaso ticket sales and shirt sales, and mugs, and Keyrings etc etc.

The club have never marketed centurions effectively. The town, the club and the sport drives the brand. Irrespective of silly moniker in Leigh RLFC or not.
