Tony Smith perhaps? I haven't agreed with some of their selections, particularly Ridyard's exclusion! These are the same Coaches who presided over our win against Wigan! lets be honest, we've beaten Saints, Warrington and Wigan and run Salford very close these are all local rivals! who would have said we would beat those long established SL clubs in our first season?
The result last night was disappointing, particularly following the Wigan result however, Widnes have had the luxury of a run in SL and remember, they didn't have to qualify from the Championship in the 8s! no, they received a Dickie Lewis License for a guaranteed 3 years!! Its taken Widnes a number of years to become accustomed to the demands of SL and, until last night, they were below us in the Table!! Since the reintroduction of Promotion/Relegation Widnes were in the Middles Eights in the first season however, they managed to avoid the 8s last season but favourites to join us in that Comp this season! Should we both be in the Eights then that will guarantee we meet again, can they beat us when it matters? I look forward to the match
